We are planning about ten percent increase in tourism results,” said Jelka Tepisic, director of TZ Dubrovnik.

The results in Dubrovnik-Neretva County are similar. In the 1st seven months arrivals increased by seven %, and overnite stays by 5 percent. Hotel traffic increased by seven percent, while the camps and personal owners noticed a decline of three and 2 %.

“The first information shows typically the increase in cash compared with last year, but we are going to see what will happen with the price side of the total business,” said Vladimir Bakic, director of TZ Dubrovnik-Neretva county.

President of Dubrovnik travel agents highlights that the most luxurious hotels achieved the most impressive results and are booked from May to late September. Hotels with five stars are literally sold out.

“We are achieving superb costs and according to the situation as it is now, a recession has passed,” said Luca Baca from Grand Villa Argentina – a beautiful villa found in an exclusive area, near the historic middle of Dubrovnik.
